I ran laps around my neighborhood in middle school, asked for salads instead of dinner rolls, and felt early on that wellness was my thing. My love of cooking started with after-school Food Network marathons and hovering over our kitchen bartop while my parents cooked. I can still hear my mom: “When are you going to get in there and cook something?” …and look where we are now. 😅
I’m wildly passionate about fitness, living healthy, and moving my body—HYROX comps, dabbling in triathlons, long runs, sweat dates with friends. I love to travel (Hi Colorado, my favorite place on Earth—and hopefully my home one day), and I’m an EDM girl who lives for music festivals and the occasional rave. I also have two beautiful golden retrievers, Sonny and Frankie, who think they’re my sous-chefs.
Pump&Crunch started back home as an Instagram project—Pump = fitness & Crunch = food. I was working full time as a fitness instructor and worked on my passion project on the side. I posted literally everything: what I ate, how I trained, my daily routine, I started support groups, motivation threads, ran live workouts, posted recipe videos on repeat, and was on Instagram stories all day every single day. My secret ingredient was consistency. I showed up every single day. I wanted to hype people up to feel strong and eat well, and the energy caught on. Posting recipes online turned into cooking for clients out of my house → renting a kitchen → hiring my first team → planning our own kitchen → opening a storefront. After 2+ years of buildout and permit adventures, we opened the first Pump&Crunch brick-and-mortar in Houston Heights—the first of many (fingers crossed 🤞).
My biggest passion in life is feeding others. It brings me so much joy—whether it’s a recipe I share online, a dinner party at home, or (the coolest of all) feeding our community through my self-funded, self-built shop. And I want to keep going: publish cookbooks, host cooking classes, launch cookware, mentor others, and spread the message I live by: IT’S EASY TO EAT HEALTHY.

We remix comfort-food classics into “healthified” favorites and rotate a brand-new menu every week, so there’s always something fresh to love. Everything is fully cooked, easy to heat, and designed for real life.
What began as cooking for a few local clients quickly grew into a rented kitchen, our first hires, and then a full buildout that (after plenty of permit adventures) became our brick-and-mortar in Houston Heights.
From day one, the mission’s been the same: make healthy eating easy, joyful, and seriously delicious. A fresh menu every week, clear labels, clean ingredients—so you can spend less time cooking and more time living.
Also… we love squirrels. You’ll spot them everywhere—in our store, on our site, and all over our brand language. We call our clients SQRL, our team SQRLs, and our product lines SQRLSnacks, SQRLSauce, and SQRLSpice. It started years ago as a fun little thing Cail said—and it stuck. Now it’s part of who we are: energetic, a little playful, and always hustling for good food.
We’re just getting started. We love our clients, our staff, and our vision—and this first shop is only the beginning. We’re taking Pump&Crunch to infinity and beyond: more locations, classes, cookbooks, and any path that helps more people discover our motto—it’s easy to eat healthy.
