Making Healthy Choices

Making healthy choices can be challenging, especially if you lead a busy life. I have been crazy busy with just the overall growth of the business and getting our new storefront ready (YAY!) so I love utilizing easy ways to stay healthy when I am constantly on the go. These are my favorite ways to make healthier choices that won’t require a significant change in your lifestyle.

Plan Ahead

Planning is crucial when it comes to making healthy choices. You can plan your meals and snacks for the week ahead of time, so you don’t end up grabbing something unhealthy when you’re in a hurry. You can also prepare healthy snacks in advance and keep them at hand for when you need them. I love my glass meal prep containers to keep all of my meal prep in the fridge! To make it even easier, if you don’t feel like planning, you can always purchase meal prep & SQRLBars through Pump&Crunch for healthy and delicious ready made meals and snacks for you to eat throughout the week.

Chose Whole Foods

Whole foods are natural, unprocessed foods that are rich in nutrients. These include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Try to incorporate more whole foods into your diet, and avoid processed foods that are often high in salt, sugar, and unhealthy fats. Here at Pump&Crunch making our meals with whole foods is extremely important along with only using healthy cooking oils like olive, coconut and avocado.

Stay Hydrated

Drinking plenty of water is essential for good health. Dehydration can lead to fatigue, headaches, and other health problems. Try to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, and limit your intake of sugary drinks like soda. I take my favorite tumbler with me EVERYWHERE! This way I can ensure that I am staying hydrated when I am on the go! I also am a HUGE fan of LMNT Electrolyte powder! You can get both of them below 🙂

Get Moving

Regular physical activity is essential for maintaining good health. You don’t have to go to the gym or run a marathon to get moving. Simple activities like walking, biking, or swimming can be great ways to get your heart rate up and improve your overall health. I just recently started teaching again at OneSweat and I have been LOVING it! The classes are all so fun and give you such a great workout. If you ever want to workout with me, find my next class on the OneSweat Schedule!

In conclusion, making healthier choices doesn’t have to be difficult or time-consuming. By planning ahead, choosing whole foods, controlling your portions, staying hydrated, and getting moving, you can make positive changes to your health and well-being. Start small and gradually incorporate these habits into your daily routine for long-term success.
