Ingredients
- Large pot filled with water
- Vegetables of choice - Great options are onion, whole head of garlic, ears of corn, baby potatoes, mushrooms, and brussels sprouts.
- Lemon
- Raw shrimp, with peel and tail
- Seafood boil seasoning - I used Slap Ya Mama
- 2 tbsp mayonaise
- 1 tbsp ketchup
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add a tbsp Cajun seafood boil to the pot.
- Add vegetables of choice and boil until fully cooked.
- Once the veggies are cooked, add the raw shrimp and boil for 2 minutes, stirring slowly, constantly.
- Remove shrimp and vegetables and transfer into a separate mixing bowl. Squeeze lemon juice over the top and dust with seafood boil seasoning - amount added is dependent on how spicy you like your shrimp (I did 2-3 tbsp for extra spicy).
- Make the dipping sauce by mixing together mayo, ketchup, and a pinch of the seafood boil seasoning, to taste.
- Peel your shrimp, dip in the sauce, and enjoy your homemade shrimp boil!
