Oven roasted garlic is not your typical “bitter” tasting garlic. After it’s baked, the texture is super gooey and spreadable and it almost tastes sweet. I absolutely LOVE it. Not sure if this is weird or not, but I’ve definitely eaten a whole head of garlic to myself when it’s cooked like this… And did I mention how easy it is to make?
Ingredients:
Fresh heads of garlic
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper
Recipe:
Chop the tops off of the heads of garlic, place in your casserole dish, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt & pepper, and bake at 350F for 30-40 minutes.
You’ll see the garlic cloves start to pop out of the skin when its finished!
You’re probably asking, what the heck am I going to do with a bunch of garlic?
I love to keep this in my fridge during the week to add extra flavor to my dishes. ESPECIALLY with Whole 30 coming up. They’re great in a stir fry, with baked fish, steak, or even spread over whole wheat toast. So many options. YUM!
It will also make your house smell absolutely amazing, just saying 🙂 Give this a try!
