Spicy Strawberry Mango Salsa

DSC_0563

It’s Memorial Day weekend, so that means BBQ, lounging by the pool, and spending time with family to support those who fight for our country. With summer weather here, it’s time to whip out the pool noodles and cocktails this weekend! This fruit salsa recipe is absolutely phenomenal. I’m a fan of the traditional tomato salsa or pico, but this will throw you for a loop and tastes BOMB.

If you don’t have your Memorial Day menu planned yet, throw this sucker in there! This salsa is absolutely perfect on a beautiful afternoon paired with chips, with some BBQ chicken, over shrimp tacos, or even by itself.

Disclaimer: You might eat the entire bowl yourself… so be careful. I made one batch to photograph and accidentally ate half of it while chopping the rest of my ingredients… Whoops! But that should tell you something… it’s THAT GOOD!

Let’s get cooking! (chopping)

Ingredients:

2 cups Fresh Strawberries, finely chopped

2 cups Fresh Mango, finely chopped

1/2 cup White Onion, finely chopped

1 Jalapeno, finely chopped

1/3 cup Fresh Cilantro, chopped

4 Limes, juiced

1 tsp Ground Cumin

1 tsp Sea Salt

1 tsp Black Pepper

Recipe:

Chop and combine all ingredients in a large bowl. It’s that easy! Serve with your favorite chips as an appetizer or top your BBQ meat with it as a chutney.

ENJOY!
