Honey Sriracha Turkey Meatballs

One of the most important things you can do when adapting a healthy lifestyle is to set yourself up for success! Meal prepping is something I do weekly to ensure that I am ready and prepared for the busy week ahead. My weekdays are non-stop, so it helps to have food already cooked for easy access. It also holds me accountable!

My recipe for Honey Sriracha Turkey Meatballs is delicious, and can be made with ingredients you probably already have around the house! With just a few simple steps, you can create a satisfying, low calorie, healthy meal prep item to keep in your fridge during the week. I like to eat mine for breakfast with eggs, for lunch on top a salad, or for dinner over pasta or with veggies. The options are endless!

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 35 minutes

Makes ~12 meatballs

Meatball Ingredients:

1 lb Organic, Ground Turkey

1 egg (raw, beaten)

1 tsp Sea Salt

1 tsp Black Pepper, ground

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1 tsp Cumin

1 tsp Parsley, dried

1/2 tsp Paprika

 

Honey Sriracha Sauce Ingredients:

1/4 cup Raw, Organic Honey

2 tbsp Sriracha

1 tsp Parsley, dried

 

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Add all meatball ingredients into a large bowl and combine well.
  3. Form turkey meat mixture into 1” balls and line on a baking sheet (1lb makes about 12 balls).
  4. Bake meatballs at 400F for 35 minutes.
  5. While meatballs are cooking, add sauce ingredients into a small bowl. Mix to combine.
  6. Once meatballs are finished cooking, let them cool. Once cooled (about 10 minutes), toss meatballs with honey sriracha sauce in a large bowl with a spoon, gently.
  7. Serve with whatever you like! Pictured is Cauliflower Rice.

 

I like to prep a ton of these to keep handy in my fridge. You can even prep some and freeze them to defrost at a later date! The 1 single downside to this recipe, is you might have to get your hands messaaaaay. The most convenient cooking tool for this specific recipe (which I did not have) would have been an ice-cream scoop – or one of those fruit scoopers to make little balls. I unfortunately don’t have either of those so I had to get my hands dirty af.

****TIP – When rolling the meatballs, have your hands moist and the meat won’t stick to you as badly.
